Since 4 July 1878, the iconic Seal Point Lighthouse has been weathering the tempestuous climate of the Eastern Cape to offer indispensable guidance to ships entering the dangerous waters of Algoa Bay. The lighthouse’s restored living quarters, revitalised in 2020, now offer a unique opportunity to experience this historic landmark firsthand. The brave can explore this magnificent masonry lighthouse on a guided tour. Climb 154 steps to the lantern room, 28 meters high, and enjoy breathtaking views of the seascape and Cape St Francis.
