We're thrilled to welcome you to the official website of the Seal Point lighthouse.

The Seal Point lighthouse is an Eastern Cape icon that was first lit on July 4, 1878, becoming a beacon to many a vessel entering the waters of Algoa Bay.

Today the lighthouse still faithfully warns ships from running onto the treacherous reefs around Cape St Francis. But in addition to doing the work it was commissioned for, it now offers you the opportunity to experience a unique self-catering accommodation experience.

Choose between two wings, the east or the west, and enjoy a glimpse into the past of this magnificent structure.

And when you're hungry and in no mood for self-catering, take a lazy stroll over to Nevermind restaurant, literally a few metres from the lighthouse, and sit down to a scrumptious breakfast, lunch or dinner.
