Activities

Surfing

Seal Point beach
Just 600m away from Seal Point Lighthouse, you will find the famous Seal Point beach with it's consistent, exposed point break. Enjoy the warm waters and surf some of the best waves around the South African coast.

Beach Trail Walks

Seal Point Nature Reserve
Explore the Seal Point Nature Reserve which surrounds the lighthouse. You might see dolphins and southern right whales. The reserve extends all along the coast to the western boundary of the Cape St Francis village at Sunset Rocks.

Fishing

Cast a line in the Kromme River in St Francis Bay, or try your hand at rock or surf fishing from the shoreline. Deep sea fishing charters are available and can easily be arranged at the Port St Francis. Annual deep sea tuna and game fishing competitions generally take place in July.

Swimming

Liquid Lines
Enjoy indoor swimming in an indoor “outdoor” heated, 20 meter, 3 x 2m lane pool. Liquid Lines aim to provide a world class facility where fresh, innovative approaches to aquatic fitness norms are encouraged.

Golf Courses

St Francis Bay has two outstanding golf courses. St Francis Bay Golf Club offers a full 18 hole course, whilst the St Francis Links is a world-class Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course, consistently ranked in the Top 10 in South Africa.

Mountain Bike Trails

The St Francis Milk Run's scenic 37km route heads towards Oyster Bay, passes wind farms, crosses the Kromme River and dairy farms, then returns to St Francis. The St Francis Singletrack Loop's 20km trail heads to Cape St Francis, through the harbour along Otters Landing, and then into the Cape St Francis Nature Reserve.
